Girl Power Ministries was started in
July 2005. Pastor Jessica, the founder
of this organization firmly believes that women are uniquely fashioned by God
and specially graced to play a complementary rather than competitive role
alongside men in transforming society.
Since its inception, Girl Power has set out to help women discover the
exceptional traits that God has endowed them with and exploit these strengths
to attain their individual destinies and for the greater good of society.
Girl Power Ministry in just over one
year, has successfully organized 4 conferences in Uganda
and 5 international meetings in USA,
United Kingdom and South Africa. Currently Pastor Jessica holds weekly Heart
to Heart Sessions every Friday where she candidly addresses the issues facing
women and the practical solutions provided in the scriptures.
During each local conference, Girl
Power has prided itself in identifying and rewarding women of fortitude who
have distinctively contributed to their societies and stand out as examples for
others to follow.
Girl Power
Crisis Home for the Girl child.
The
girl child in Uganda
has been severely affected by the AIDS scourge often being left with enormous
responsibility at a very tender age.
This plight is further exacerbated by war, famine and natural disaster
which have resulted in internal displacement.
The Girl Power is in the process of setting up a crisis home to address
the needs of the disadvantaged for homeless teenage girls who might be sexually
abused
Girl Power
Weekly Events.
The problem of the heart is the heart of the Problem.
Every Friday, at the Miracle Centre Cathedral, Pastor Jessica expounds
on heart issues affecting women from a biblical perspective.
Each Friday is a unique and wonderful time of fellowship, ministry,
worship, prayer and testimony.
Each Friday is a journey of discovery of God the Father’s Heart, indeed
a date with destiny.
