Background

Pastor Robert Kayanja on one of his mission trips in 1986, was touched by the plight of the children . Many of whom had been left as orphans because of the war.  He then acquired 5 acres of land near Kapeeka Trading Centre on which he constructed a home and a primary school which has been a place for education and a home for the children.

Location

It is found about 120km along Kampala –Hoima Road.It is in the new Nakaseke District in the herb of the famous Luwero Triangle which was greatly affected by the 1986 Liberation War.

Mission

To raise disadvantaged children to be responsible citizens.

Current status

To-date the school has eight hundred(840) pupils,five hundred(500) boys and three hundred and forty(340) (girls). The home houses one hundred(100) boys and sixty(60) girls,one hundred and sixty(160) in all.

We've been able to acquire 100 acres of land just next to the orphanage.It has 12 professional teachers, a matron, a farmer and security guard.

Activites

-Provision of free primary education to the children in the community.

-Provision of free vocational training for those who can’t continue with formal education like: carpentry , cookery, tailoring etc.

-Provide Christian discipleship for these children.

We are able to provide at least one balanced meal a day to these children since most of them travel not less than 2km to get to school.First aid treatment to the children when at school for minor sickness is always at hand.

Doing some large scale farming especially on the newly acquired 100 acres is carried out ultimately a means also for supplying food to the school as well as training opportunities.

Annual Activities

We do always have Christmas parties where by Pastor Robert Kayanja give gifts to the students.Shoes, clothes and others niceties are dished out in appreciation of these wonderful souls that have survived the test of time.
